About the role

The Director of Product Management at Havoc is responsible for owning the execution and health of the product capability roadmap that defines what Havoc builds across air, land, and sea domains. This role requires deep expertise in strategy and delivery, partnering with the VP of Product to build and shape a high-functioning product organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Product to build and scale the product organization by contributing to role structures, operating rhythms, and the standards that enable the PM team to own capabilities end-to-end across the Havoc stack.

  • Support and execute the long-term product vision across air, land, and sea domains. Translate company strategy and VP-level direction into prioritized, executable product plans across the PM team.

  • Maintain and execute the master capability roadmap across air, land, and sea domains in partnership with the VP of Product. Align the portfolio against engineering capacity, operator impact, and program commitments while driving prioritization across PMs to resolve conflicts across capabilities and domains.

  • Establish and maintain product development standards—including PRD quality, requirements development, acceptance criteria, release readiness, and field feedback loops—that define how product is developed at Havoc.

  • Set the standard for how Havoc captures operator needs. Engage directly with customers and warfighters to ensure the product organization remains grounded in operational reality.

  • Drive alignment across Engineering, Mission Operations, and Go-to-Market leadership. Own the product communication layer and escalate blockers that threaten delivery or strategic objectives.

  • Lead build/buy/partner decisions, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure the capability pipeline keeps Havoc at the forefront of autonomous systems across all domains.

  • Own portfolio-level OKRs and success metrics, holding the product organization accountable for outcomes, not just delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 10+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience.

  • Proven experience leading and managing product or systems engineering teams.

  • Deep experience delivering complex technical integrations across hardware, software, and payload systems.

  • Demonstrated success owning product strategy and roadmaps for defense or dual-use autonomous systems.

  • Experience developing and managing requirements at both the capability and portfolio levels.

  • Experience with AI/ML tools and concepts, product design, and testing methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, customers, and executive leadership.

  • Experience working with external suppliers and strategic partners.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of payloads, communication systems, and advanced technologies across air, land, and sea domains.

  • Experience with DoD systems, Command and Control (C2), and/or ISR platforms.

  • Experience scaling a product organization within a fast-paced defense technology or dual-use startup.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, establish direction, and drive clarity across teams to deliver results.

Benefits

  • 100% employer paid Health, Dental and Vision Insurance for you and your families.

  • Life Insurance (Employer Paid).
