About the Role
Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Director of Pop-up Production, you will be accountable for the build, planning, drawing review, production and installation of all pop-ups across the zone. This role will be responsible for the design development, project communication, budget management, installation, quality control, project reporting, and removal of all pop-ups. They will also be expected to ensure the layout and design of such retail spaces, comply with all building code and pre-scribed inspection requirements. This role will need to share regular project updates and is expected to be executive facing with at least 8-10 years of relative experience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop designs in partnership with the pop-up team in Paris headquarters and the head of Visual Merchandising in LVA.
- Coordinate retail requirements with internal partners such as IS&T, Asset Protection, Retail Operations, and local Visual Merchandising teams.
- Project reporting to key stakeholders, including the head of retail, regional retail, and operations teams, finance and VM.
- Manage the shop drawings to ensuring all front of house and back of house areas are code compliant for the respective region/market/state.
- Manage project timing, budget and execution while ensuring output is within the Louis Vuitton standard and launch dates.
- Oversee all quality control of build outs, animation, and exterior signage.
- Review and comply with Real Estate lease requirements in all external space.
- Negotiate to ensure cost efficiency on all elements while respecting quality of a luxury retail space.
- Regularly bid projects to multiple suppliers to manage cost efficiency.
- Anticipate required materials to protect surfaces and finishes of leased or borrowed spaces.
- Remain open and agile to design evolution and impact to overall production and spend.
- Coordinate with landlords and mall partners when working within larger retail centers.
- Innovation: Questions ways of operating and thinking; execute action plans to improve processes, methods, and tools; plan and organize new pop-up launches and end of life product strategies in collaboration with various departments; propose out of the box ideas which relate to projects at hand.
- Decision Making: Identify opportunities of production and cost efficiency; react to supplier feedback and build out limitations; drive for results and decision making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in architectural design or a closely related field, supported by an Architectural Design degree or equivalent professional qualification. Store Planning experience is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Demonstrated self-starter with proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple vendors and suppliers effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, including the ability to accurately read and verify shop drawings.
- Operational Acumen: Ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies for cost optimization.
- Financial Skills: Strong command of Microsoft Excel for budget management.
- Language: Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary range: USD $160,000 - $180,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus.
