DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY
Job Summary
The Director of Philanthropy role is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrive on cultivating lasting partnerships and inspire investment in the programs and initiatives of First Steps. Responsibilities
- Implementing the agency’s strategic fundraising plans in partnership with the CEO.
- Identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships with foundations, individuals and corporations.
- Composing grants, arranging meetings and offering tours.
- Soliciting new partnerships, supporters, volunteers and collaborators to advance the agency’s goals.
- Organizing fundraising events alongside staff and volunteers.
- Developing and implementing public relations, communications, social media and branding activities to promote awareness
- Communicating the mission, achievements and needs of the organization to increase engagement with funders, customers, stakeholders and community at large.
Requirements
A successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field and will enjoy working both independently and with a team to achieve goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in philanthropic work, fundraising, or a similar role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is preferred.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent organizational and project management skills, and a creative approach to problem-solving are all important qualities for this position.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
