About the role

The Philanthropy Director will work closely with the President of the Tidewell Foundation and division leadership to develop, implement, and lead fundraising strategies that advance philanthropic support for the Foundation and its affiliates.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the President of the Tidewell Foundation and division leadership to plan and implement strategy for annual, major, planned gifts, events, and database management.
  • Manage a personal portfolio of 125–150 donors and prospects, with annual fundraising goals of $500K–$1M+, utilizing moves management.
  • Supervise philanthropy team members and play a critical role in increasing individual donor and foundation support.
  • Represent the organization's mission and values across the community.
  • Travel throughout four counties: Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto, and Charlotte Counties; 50% travel (some weeks).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; master’s degree and/or CFRE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in philanthropy, with at least five years in major gift cultivation and closure.
  • Manage a personal portfolio of 125–150 donors and prospects, with annual fundraising goals of $500K–$1M+, utilizing moves management.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience with paid staff and volunteers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising CRM.

Qualifications
