Director of PeriOperative Services
About the role
The Director of PeriOperative Services at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is responsible for coordinating patient care, developing employees, utilizing resources, and improving the clinical quality, safety, and service environment. They help identify cost-effective systems and maintain compliance with professional nursing, TJC, and federal/state standards. The manager works with senior leadership to meet facility goals and oversees the Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, and PACU departments.
Responsibilities

- Oversee Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, and PACU departments
- Function as a staff nurse or charge nurse, as necessary
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
- Current Texas RN License
- Current BLS & ACLS upon hire, must get PALS/ENPC within 30 days of hire
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a RN in a critical care hospital unit
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a RN in any peri-operative area
- Able to adapt to change quickly
- Strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Excellent teaching skills
