Director of Pediatric Pulmonology, Visiting Associate/Assistant Professor (GFT)

Responsibilities

• Administrative/Teaching Supervision of Pediatric Asthma Clinic at UHB (NS41).
• Director of Pediatric Lung Function Laboratory and Codirector of Pediatric Exercise Physiology Laboratory.
• Evaluation of children referred to the laboratory for procedures, supervision of 2 technicians, interpretation of procedures & prepare and provide reports to referring physicians.
• Serve as a preceptor for 3rd year medical students.
• Provide up to 5 months of consultation service at University Hospital.
• Conduct 1-2 outpatient sessions per week in the faculty practice, accepting all referrals from the departmental general pediatric practice group and outside community physicians for consultation.
• Participate in coverage of the Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy service.
• Provide weekend inpatient general pediatrics call two weekends per month.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified or eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, with an academic background in basic or clinical research.
• New York State Medical Licensure.
