Assistant Professor Clinic Practice, Pediatric Pulmonology
About the role
This full-time academic role combines clinical care and education within a collaborative health system. The successful candidate will:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric pulmonary care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the division’s clinical and educational missions.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
Responsibilities
Primary clinical responsibilities include providing comprehensive diagnosis and management for a broad range of respiratory diseases and offering outstanding clinical care for patients with respiratory disorders.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program and Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas medical license.
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior academic experience in resident and medical student education is preferred.
