About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute seeks a director for its Section of Pediatric Neuroscience. The ideal candidate is a mid-career neurologist with clinical expertise in child neurology, demonstrated scholarship in clinically based or translational research, and managerial experience leading a professional group. The ideal candidate is committed to innovation to push the field of pediatric neuroscience forward.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the subspecialties of movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, neuroimmunology, cerebrovascular disease, genetics, mitochondrial disease, pain, and headache.
  • Pursue and lead research initiatives within the Section of Pediatric Neuroscience.
  • Manage a group of 9 neurologists and 1 pediatric neurosurgeon.
  • Collaborate with other departments and institutions to advance the field of pediatric neuroscience.
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior faculty and staff.

Requirements

  • Certification in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology.
  • Experience in managing a clinical group.
  • Proven track record of scholarly activity in child neurology or related fields.
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board-certified in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in child neurology.
  • Experience in research and publication.

Pay

Minimum salary: $207,750
Maximum salary: $320,500
