About the role
The Director of Partnerships and Community Outreach at Alpha is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with families throughout their children's educational journey. This role requires a deep understanding of the Alpha model and the ability to navigate complex family dynamics with discretion and authenticity.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of relationships with every family on campus
- Identify potential concerns proactively and address them with discretion and interpersonal skill
- Maintain consistent visibility in family spaces including morning arrivals, afternoon departures, evening gatherings, and select weekend programming
- Create events, rituals, and engagement points that foster a sense of belonging for families
- Encourage parent advocacy naturally, ensuring experiences are of such quality that referrals emerge organically
- Sustain the ongoing dialogue about Alpha's AI-enabled model with families managing screen time questions, skeptical relatives, and periodic uncertainty
- Recognize when a family alignment isn't optimal and manage that reality with poise, preserving community integrity
- Establish the operational rhythms and frameworks this role demands within an environment where standard practices are still being developed
Requirements
- Current residence within commuting range of one of the campuses listed OR willingness to relocate within 60 days
- Minimum 5 years in relationship-focused roles serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clientele
- Proven capacity to maintain relationships through complex situations with sophisticated families while strengthening trust
- Authentic presence and communication approach that builds credibility rapidly with affluent, high-expectation families
- Direct familiarity with independent, private, or alternative education models
- Sincere conviction in AI-powered education and capacity to sustain that belief authentically across years of family partnerships
- Flexibility for non-standard hours: early mornings, late afternoons, evening programming, and periodic weekend activities
Qualifications
