About the role

The Director of Outpatient Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the outpatient program offered at Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital. Ensuring the program meets the needs of the community and the facility's performance goals and objectives, this role oversees the overall administrative processes and management systems for outpatient services.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and strategic planning for the outpatient program.
  • Maintains an awareness of community and market-related activities.
  • Develops and organizes programs of clinical services based on specialized patient populations.
  • Ensures the therapeutic environment is maintained.
  • Develops and implements clinical treatment programs.
  • Represents the Outpatient Services Department at the executive level and in consultation with the Medical Director.
  • Strategically solves problems that encompass the larger view of the organization.
  • Remains current on all clinical techniques and provides direction to staff and facility personnel.
  • Participates in developing, justifying, and controlling the annual budget for department personnel, facilities, and equipment.
  • Ensures strategic program goals and objectives are consistent with overall facility goals and objectives.
  • Develops goals, objectives, policies, and procedures related to the operational needs of the programs, staff, and patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, social work, or related mental health field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Must be licensed as LCSW or LCPC in the State of Illinois.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in advanced clinical/management practice.
  • A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Pay

$80,000 - $95,000 annually
