What You’ll Lead Oversee the success, service standards, financial performance, and day-to-day operations of all resort Food & Beverage outlets, including The Canal Club, lobby bar, pool operations, and in-room dining.Recruit, interview, select, train, coach, and develop exceptional Food & Beverage leaders and associates.Create a culture where associates feel energized to deliver warm, polished, and genuinely memorable service.Maintain a strong, visible presence on the floor and in kitchen areas, ensuring every guest experience reflects The Scott’s elevated standards.Lead pre-shift and departmental meetings, communicating service essentials, house counts, menu updates, guest opportunities, and operational priorities.Build leadership schedules that ensure thoughtful coverage, strong floor support, and seamless execution during every shift.Resolve guest and associate concerns with confidence, care, urgency, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. You’ll help ensure The Scott Resort & Spa remains part of that conversation by creating compelling Food & Beverage experiences that drive both guest loyalty and revenue. Increase revenue through inspired training, thoughtful upselling, competitive pricing, strategic marketing, and fresh, inventive programming.Develop and implement cost-saving and profit-enhancing initiatives while protecting quality, creativity, and the guest experience.Conduct competitive research, identify local and industry trends, and recommend opportunities that keep our outlets relevant and exciting.Partner with the Marketing team on promotions, campaigns, support materials, public relations opportunities, and special events.Support the broader Food & Beverage operation through promotions, special projects, and leadership coverage as business needs require.Use systems and reporting tools to forecast revenue, manage financial performance, prepare correspondence, and ensure accurate guest charges.Maintain current, accurate POS information and support the proper use and maintenance of all outlet equipment. Partner With Culinary to Create Something Special Great service and great food belong together. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, and Food & Beverage leadership to deliver an experience that feels effortless to guests—and expertly orchestrated behind the scenes. Collaborate on menu development, associate training, product knowledge, and service execution.Support communication and education around specialty cocktail offerings, wine lists, and seasonal beverage programs.Monitor food quality through temperature verification, product appearance, taste, preparation methods, and presentation.Ensure teams are trained in food-safety processes and consistently follow all health, sanitation, and safety standards.Maintain clean, safe, polished outlets by assigning, supporting, and monitoring cleaning responsibilities throughout every operation.Coordinate equipment repairs and train associates on the proper care and use of equipment. What Will Make You Successful Here A minimum of five years of progressive Food & Beverage experience, including both line-level and leadership responsibilities.Strong fine-dining sensibility, operational discipline, and a proven passion for training and developing people.A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; a college degree is preferred.Current Maricopa County Food Handler’s and Food Manager’s cards and Arizona Title IV alcohol certification.CPR certification is preferred.Comfort using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Toast, hotel systems, POS platforms, and other administrative tools.General knowledge of STAR reports and the ability to translate data into smart operational decisions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.The ability to lead, motivate, and coach individuals and teams with clarity, accountability, and encouragement.The ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods in a fast-paced resort environment.
