Responsibilities

  • Teaching in Oral Facial Pain, sleep dentistry & other curriculum content as determined by the Dean, Vice Dean, or Assistant Dean.
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex, chronic pain in the mouth, jaws, and face.
  • Directing course content and overseeing the Oral Facial Pain Center.
  • Collaborating in ongoing pain research in key areas such as pain neurobiology and translational pain medicine.
  • Performing miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned by TCDM leadership.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD), or equivalent degree.
  • At least 5 years experience in the treatment and management of patients with oral facial pain.
  • Experience in the clinical management of chronic orofacial pain conditions and dental sleep medicine preferred.
  • Dental License Registration required.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • NYS license required.
  • DEA Number required.
  • Certificate or higher level of training in Orofacial Pain required.
  • Board eligible/certified.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of current imaging techniques and digital applications.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Prominent self-starter.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks.
  • Customer service and team-orientated.
  • A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills, collaboration, and matrix management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal).

Pay

Maximum Salary: USD $185,436.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary: USD $148,348.00/Yr.
