Director of Operations - Remote

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Operations to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This leader will own multi-site operational performance across harvesting sites, with a strong focus on P&L accountability, safety, quality, and cost discipline. The role will partner closely with plant managers and cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, strengthen execution, and align operations with customer demand. It is an opportunity to shape long-term operational excellence through coaching, continuous improvement, and disciplined site leadership. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Direct P&L responsibilities for multiple harvesting sites
• Lead and develop plant managers through effective coaching
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve performance
• Manage compliance with safety and quality standards across sites
• Collaborate with marketing teams to align manufacturing with customer demands
• Oversee inventory and staffing plans to ensure operational efficiency
• Establish continuous improvement plans for long-term cost control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering or a technical field
• 2-5 years as a Plant Manager or in a similar role
• Strong background in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing tools
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage projects and lead teams effectively
• Technical skills in materials management and production scheduling

Pay

$160,000 – $190,000 annually
