Director of Operations - IT Infrastructure & Server Rack Manufacturing
About the role
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing all operational functions within a fast-paced IT infrastructure and server rack manufacturing environment. This role drives operational excellence by improving processes, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, ensuring on-time order fulfillment, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve operational workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, increase efficiency, and reduce operating costs
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and best practices
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Partner with supply chain, purchasing, production, and planning teams to ensure timely material availability and production schedules
- Oversee material planning, inventory optimization, shortage tracking, and demand forecasting
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule while maintaining inventory targets
- Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve operational performance, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations management experience, including leadership within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in IT infrastructure, electronics manufacturing, server rack manufacturing, or related industries is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems
- Experience with production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
