Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive lockdown and fire drill schedule, ensuring safety procedures are well-communicated and practiced regularly.
  • Oversee building maintenance, ensuring that the facility remains safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with janitorial and maintenance teams to address repair needs and facility updates.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with vendors, ensuring timely services, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Cook up with external service providers, including the janitorial company and other contractors, to ensure high-quality operations.
  • Oversee the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and summer nutrition programs, ensuring compliance with health and nutrition standards.
  • Supervise cafeteria staff, monitor program effectiveness, and manage meal distribution processes to meet student needs efficiently.
  • Supervise the cafeteria staff, office staff, and janitorial team to maintain smooth daily operations.
  • Collaborate with staff to address operational issues, optimize workflow, and ensure that all employees adhere to safety and operational standards.
  • Manage recruitment efforts, including posting on platforms such as Indeed, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews to attract qualified staff.
  • Handle new hires' onboarding and orientation, ensuring smooth integration into the school’s environment and processes.
  • Manage employee records; send notifications to HR, finance, and relevant personnel regarding new hires, salary details, and start dates.
  • Cook up with the offboarding process for departing staff, including notifying appropriate departments, signing separation forms, and completing necessary documentation.
  • Address employee concerns and mediate conflicts, maintaining a fair and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure that HR practices comply with relevant labor laws and school policies, supporting a safe, inclusive workplace for all employees.
  • Oversee the after-school dinner program, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with food safety and program guidelines.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for staff, addressing inquiries and supporting staff with policy clarification and benefits information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [3-5 years] experience in operations or HR management, preferably within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, facility management, and HR practices.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and food service programs preferred.
