Job Summary

The Director of Throughput coordinates patient flow through the hospital and clinical coordination of care across the continuum. Responsibilities include developing length of stay (LOS) and resource reduction strategies, ensuring compliance with outside agencies, and facilitating effective utilization management through coordination of efforts involving patient flow.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN degree required.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited university in Nursing Administration, Business Administration or Hospital and Health Administration program preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. If compact license held, RN is required to obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of their hire date.
  • BLS required per St. David’s HealthCare Policy.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing unit with 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership position preferred.
