About the role

Infuse collaboration, respect, and a passion for helping others by leading the center's nursing team. Deliver high-quality care with a personal touch and encourage our residents to enjoy life to the fullest. Hold overall accountability for providing leadership, direction, and administration of day-to-day operations associated with direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel including nurses, medication aides, certified nursing assistants, and nursing aides in training
  • Guide staffing procedures
  • Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
  • Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
  • Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
  • Control budgets and monitor expenditures within the department, including supplies and payroll
  • Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed by completing performance improvement plans
  • Manage record-keeping procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
  • Report directly to the Administrator

Requirements

  • Maintains a current/unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
  • A passion for working with seniors
  • 1+ years of nursing management in the long-term care industry with the experience to include hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision
  • Experience tracking, trending, and analyzing infection control and other clinical data
  • Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
  • Great communication and people skills, including keeping a good rapport with surrounding hospitals and organizations
  • Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
  • Willingness to monitor changing standards in nursing administration with strong knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
