About the Role

The Director of Nursing plays a key leadership role in the delivery of clinical services. The Director of Nursing oversees the nursing staff, ensures quality patient care, and manages administrative and regulatory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
  • Guide, inspire, and support nursing teams to achieve high standards of patient care, drive innovation, and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Work with and promote collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and government regulatory agencies.
  • Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care through hands-on expertise, critical thinking, and clinical judgment.
  • Foster teamwork to achieve excellent care for residents.
  • Maintain open, honest, and effective communication with staff, residents, customers, and family to support a respectful and positive work environment.
  • Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence) to residents, family members, customers, and staff.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
  • Minimum of three years’ clinical experience in geriatric care coupled with a minimum of one year of experience as a departmental manager in the skilled nursing setting.
  • Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
  • Ability to work varying hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
