About the Role
The Director of Nursing plays a key leadership role in the delivery of clinical services, overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and managing administrative and regulatory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
- Guide, inspire, and support nursing teams to achieve high standards of patient care, drive innovation, and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Promote collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and government regulatory agencies.
- Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care through hands-on expertise, critical thinking, and clinical judgment.
- Foster teamwork to achieve excellent care for residents.
- Maintain open, honest, and effective communication with staff, residents, customers, and family to support a respectful and positive work environment.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence) in interactions with residents, family members, customers, and staff.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of three years’ clinical experience in geriatric care.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a departmental manager in the skilled nursing setting.
- Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
- Ability to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
