Director of Nursing RN

About the role
As the Director of Nursing RN, you will hire and train facility nursing personnel, direct the provision of nursing services to facility residents, and oversee the development and implementation of resident care plans. Your primary goal will be to ensure facility residents receive the best possible quality care. You will join a robust nursing administration support team, including ADONs, a dedicated wound care nurse, infection control preventionist, MDS nurses, a staffing coordinator, and a weekend supervisor. Regional support includes infection control, a dietician, and corporate clinical leadership. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team recognized for its achievements and contributions.
Responsibilities
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate work activities of personnel
- Plan, implement, and administer programs and services
- Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space, and equipment availability
- Monitor the use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary
Requirements
- Current/valid RN license in the state of practice
- Previous skilled nursing facility leadership experience with a comprehensive understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance
- Ability to recruit, mentor, develop, retain, and lead staff members in a high-expectation environment that delivers respect, dignity, and recognition
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
