Key Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the nursing department
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and staff
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and company standards
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness
- Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to achieve operational and clinical goals
- Monitor staffing effectiveness, labor utilization, and departmental performance
- Champion infection prevention, resident safety, and risk management programs
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and resident-centered culture throughout the nursing department
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Director of Nursing (RN) experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing clinical teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional resident care and clinical excellence
