About the Role

Join our not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of providing housing and services to seniors, committed to quality care in a Christian environment. This role administers the nursing program in a long-term care facility, ensuring standards of resident care, optimizing geriatric care processes, and overseeing the overall quality of care provided by nursing personnel. The position also involves advising medical staff, department heads, and administrators on nursing service strategies, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the nursing program to maintain standards of resident care.
  • Facilitate the optimization of the geriatric care process to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and governmental standards and practices.
  • Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Provide nursing care to residents on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing activities, including community events and media programs.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including resident care, program management, environmental safety, and budget constraints.
  • Lead the development and execution of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintain communication and address the rapidly changing healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
  • For Rural Health Network and Good Samaritan Society locations, an educational plan toward a Bachelor’s degree within five years may be considered.
  • Five years of nursing experience required.
  • Housing with Services, HUD, and/or assisted living experience helpful.
  • Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care.
  • Working knowledge of administrative and management techniques.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
  • Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
