Director of Nursing ($16,000 sign on bonus)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead all nursing services within our long-term care community. This role is responsible for setting and maintaining high standards of resident care, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations
• Supervise and mentor licensed nursing and direct care staff
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate resident-centered care
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Develop and implement staff education programs
• Implement and enforce policies
• Review and manage incidents
• Coordinate individualized care plans
• Partner with the Administrator, physicians, consultants, residents, and families
• Oversee staffing and scheduling
• Participate in budgeting
• Ensure regulatory readiness
• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for operational continuity and emergency response

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
• Experience in long-term care and knowledge of state and federal regulations
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
