Director of Nursing (DON)

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead, direct, and evaluate our facility's nursing department. This leadership role focuses on clinical excellence, maintaining strict compliance with healthcare standards, and improving resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all nursing operations and clinical programs.
• Cook up, schedule, and assign clinical staff to guarantee exceptional resident care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies in accordance with federal and Illinois state regulations.
• Manage nursing staff schedules, training, evaluation, and professional development.
• Cook up closely with physicians, family members, and facility administration.

Qualifications

• Licence: Must hold a current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois to qualify as a Director of Nursing (DON).
• Experience: Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant DON within a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
• Skills: Expert clinical judgment, thorough knowledge of state nursing practices, and strong leadership capabilities.
