Director of Nursing

About the role

The Director of Nursing will lead and manage the Nursing Department at Avantara Milbank, a facility recognized for its commitment to quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive high standards of care through fostering a positive and inclusive facility culture.
• Inspire and lead the clinical team to achieve departmental goals.
• Solve problems creatively and oversee all aspects of the Clinical Department.
• Ensure residents receive an unparalleled standard of care through knowledge, skills, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• A current, unencumbered State of South Dakota license to practice Nursing.
• Nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Leadership competencies including interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to inspire and operate effectively at all levels.
• Reside in Milbank or surrounding areas, or be willing to relocate to the Milbank, South Dakota area.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered State of South Dakota license to practice Nursing.
