About the role
The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee the nursing department at Axiom Gardens of Nashville, a premier care provider in Nashville, Illinois, United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals, including nurses, nurse aides, and other support staff
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, such as the Joint Commission and CMS
- Conduct performance evaluations, provides feedback, and recommends promotions and corrective actions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve strategic goals and advance our organization's mission
- Develop and manage the nursing budget, ensuring effective use of resources
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting
- Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
