Job Summary

Avir at Camp Wood is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their healthcare team at Camp Wood, Texas. The DON will oversee patient care, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring compliance with organizational mission and values
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices
• Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff, providing guidance and support
• Collaborate with medical staff, radiology, and environmental services to coordinate patient care
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and Texas Department of State Health Services standards
• Participate in budget planning and management
• Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP preferred)
• Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or rehabilitation
• Current Texas RN license and CPR certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Effective in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical and budgeting skills
