Director of Nursing – Behavioral Health Program

About the role

The Director of Nursing (DON) is a key member of the NANA Healthcare leadership team and is responsible for providing clinical leadership, operational oversight, and direction for nursing services within our Dunwoody, GA behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing department
• Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing team members
• Create a positive, accountable, and collaborative nursing culture
• Establish effective workflows and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a visible leadership presence within the program
• Assist with clinical coverage needs when necessary to ensure safe and consistent patient care

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Prior nursing leadership, charge nurse, supervisor, or management experience preferred
• Behavioral health, psychiatric, residential treatment, substance use, or similar healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Experience with medication management and psychiatric populations preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to adapt in a growing healthcare environment and take initiative
