Director of Nursing - Behavioral Health

About the role

The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. With 71 beds, 15 beds for Detox, 34 beds for Residential, and 22 beds for Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Treatment, we are committed to making a difference and saving lives.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining nursing practice standards and policies aligned with regulatory requirements
• Managing staff performance, recruitment, retention, and development
• Collaborating with departments and agencies for enhanced patient care and resource sharing
• Serving on the facility's core management team to integrate nursing services effectively
• Overseeing nursing staffing levels and applying flexible staffing strategies
• Cooking infection control policies and ensuring a safe environment
• Coordinating pharmacy, laboratory, and patient rights programs
• Maintaining budgetary guidelines for nursing supplies and equipment
• Providing direct nursing services, including patient assessments, medication administration, documentation, and communication with medical personnel
• Participating in facility meetings, training, and regulatory compliance activities
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and adhering to licensing standards
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; BSN preferred
• Five (5) years' experience in nursing field with emphasis in psychiatric, substance abuse, or eating disorders required
• Registered Nurse in the State of licensure, active and in good standing required
• CPR Certification required
• Experience in Nursing Leadership within a Residential or Inpatient treatment environment

• Pay: Starting salary $110,000/yr, based on experience
