Director of New Market – Financial Services Location: US NationwideReporting to: CEOCompensation: $150K–$190K base + 25% to 45% Performance bonus + stock options (0.35%–0.45%) + benefits Paren, the Leading Data Platform for the EV Industry In just a few years, Paren has emerged as the leading data intelligence layer for real-time electric vehicle charging insights. We standardize reliability, availability, pricing, and amenities across charging networks, enriching millions of sessions each week to give EV ecosystem players the data they need to improve transparency, expand infrastructure, and accelerate adoption.Over the past 12 months, our revenue has grown more than 300% year-over-year, driven by strong product-market fit across our initial verticals. As private equity and venture capital pour millions — soon billions — into EV charging infrastructure, we've landed our first paying customers among the investors financing that build-out — including growth and infrastructure-focused private equity firms and venture investors. We're looking for a dedicated hire to turn that early signal into a scaled, repeatable business across financial services. The company is backed by leading venture capital funds, including Base10, as well as a group of exceptional business angels, and is a Certified B Corporation. Recently, the company also turned cash flow positive, giving us greater visibility into our promising future. This is a unique opportunity for a builder with relevant industry expertise to shape how Paren scales into financial services. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll own go-to-market across private equity and venture capital as the core mandate to start, with institutional investors and banks as the near-term expansion you'll help build out — and the opportunity to specialize or split the segment further as it matures. This is not an execution-only sales role, and it's not a strategy role either — you'll be judged on the outcome you personally drive: real customers, real revenue, and a repeatable business. You'll inherit an initial base of paying customers and early proof points, but we expect you to get the rest of the way there through hands-on discovery, validation, and closing — not a set of recommendations for someone else to execute. Build and own Financial ServicesYou will design, lead, and own Paren's go-to-market strategy across private equity, venture capital, institutional investors, and — as the segment matures — banks and other lenders. Your entrepreneurial mindset will take you from mapping the opportunity across buyer types — deal teams, portfolio and asset management, credit and risk functions, procurement dynamics, competitive landscape — to shaping our product roadmap based on what these buyers actually need to underwrite and monitor their EV charging investments. You'll own an ambitious revenue target across the segment, backed by dedicated company resources including marketing support. You're expected to actively pursue the segment from day one: expanding our initial accounts, finding the next wave of customers, defining what we sell and how (diligence data, portfolio monitoring, benchmarking), and closing and expanding accounts. As traction builds, there's a path to hiring dedicated resources by buyer type — e.g. private equity and infrastructure funds vs. banks — and stepping into a leadership role over that team. This is a cross-functional role. As the business matures, we expect it to evolve toward full P&L ownership.
