Director of Membership Marketing, Commonwealth Club World Affairs (San Francisco)
Location: San Francisco
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000
About the role
We seek a dynamic Director of Membership Marketing to drive the organization’s membership growth. This hands-on position entails cultivating, acquiring, engaging, renewing, and stewarding new, existing, and lapsed members. CCWA’s members are the organization’s lifeblood as an important foundation of financial support, event attendance, and mission fulfillment for public outreach and participation. This position works collaboratively across the entire organization, closely with our Facilities Team, our Director of Technologies, and outside contractors providing strategic support and services.
This role is instrumental in meeting membership growth goals, including recruitment of new members and retention of existing members, as well as cultivating and engaging current member relationships. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, goal-driven membership, marketing, and engagement professional with strong sales and marketing skills, a growth mindset, a passion for civic engagement, and a proven track record of increasing and retaining membership at prior organizations. Familiarity with database software packages and CRM systems, as well as strong social media marketing skills, is essential. This individual must have the warmth and interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with members and inspire their engagement in our programs and mission.
Particularly helpful will be the ability to create data reports, refine datasets defined by others, and operationalize new knowledge into concrete results. The Director of Membership Marketing must actively attend CCWA events, network, and engage with attendees (both members and non-members) as a key part of the growth strategy.
At Commonwealth Club World Affairs, you’ll be part of a vibrant team dedicated to uplifting and shaping informed public discourse. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful programming and help build a sustainable future for a respected institution.
