About the role
The facility in the Bronx is seeking a permanent, full-time Director of MDS & Clinical Reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the MDS and health information teams, ensuring assessments, documentation, and data reporting are accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements and payment models.
- Partners with clinical and operational leadership to use data and documentation to improve care quality, optimize reimbursement, and support performance improvement initiatives.
- Drives education, auditing, and process improvement efforts to keep the organization current with regulatory changes and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- 3+ years of MDS and reimbursement experience in a skilled nursing facility setting, including 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Completion of NYS PRI assessor program or RAC-CT preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations, NYS nursing standards and Medicare & Medicaid regulations required.
