Director of Market Access Strategy & Planning
About the Role
Core member of Launch Management Teams and/or Brand Teams. This position is located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site with a flexible hybrid working approach allowing up to 50% remote work per month. The role requires on-site presence and is not eligible for full remote work. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration in the design of near-term launches and work with global colleagues for mid-long term launches.
- Manage Life Cycle Management monitoring and strategy adjustments for in-line products.
- Evaluate and analyze the impact of current and future policy (e.g., Inflation Reduction Act, annual CMS changes) on the Sandoz portfolio and shape strategic direction of future policy initiatives with Government Affairs and Government Pricing.
- Advise on market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy incorporating key government considerations for both in-line and launch products.
- Educate and train cross-functional team members on market access evolution and best practices (e.g., Medicare Advantage, Med D design changes, payer evolution, medical management, 340B stacking).
- Assess impact of market access considerations (pricing [gross & net], adoption, payer acceptance, provider acceptance) on forecasts and NPV.
- Pivot with rapidly evolving market dynamics, between products, and between stakeholders while maintaining strategic focus.
- Work with numbers/Excel, including collaboration with Finance on forecasts, Analytics on data & insights, and Account Strategy on account business cases.
- Integrate knowledge of access dynamics, data, market insights, and field/account feedback to deliver on Brand Plan via access levers (payers/PBMs, wholesale/distribution, GPOs, Providers, Specialty Pharmacies).
- Key cross-functional partners include Marketing, Account Strategy, Account Management, HEOR, Distribution, Patient Services, Pricing, Insights & Analytics, Government Pricing, Medical, Finance, Global marketing/medical, Government Affairs.
- Create and update value proposition (including messaging, pricing, contracting) and segmentation for Payers/Specialty Pharmacy stakeholders to maximize reimbursement and formulary access.
- Lead cross-functional value and access team to gather evidence supporting payer value proposition and pricing strategy.

Requirements
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with 7 years in pharmaceuticals.
- Business case management experience.
- Deep understanding of Brand Management and its evolution across regions.
- Experience working cross-functionally and trans-nationally.
- Strong familiarity with government pricing principles: IRA, AMP, ASP, Best Price, NonFAMP, 340B, etc.
- Capability to assess government policy impact on existing and future portfolio.
- Responsibility for market access considerations for new product pipeline.
- Strategic planning for market access to identify trends and solutions critical to the business.
- Thorough understanding of market access considerations for future pipeline, including TPP, labeling, packaging.
Travel Requirements
Travel may be as high as 20%, including regular field visits with account managers in target accounts and attendance at appropriate meetings/congresses.

Pay
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $194,600 - $361,400 USD/year. Final pay determinations depend on geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards.
