Director of Maintenance & Housekeeping

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assists governmental services during inspections and ensures campus compliance with all required regulations.
• Prioritizes and assigns maintenance service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operates and maintains the total operation of the community buildings to high standards.
• Develops and manages the Capital Budget and annual maintenance budgets.
• Oversees renovation, remodeling, and maintenance of the entire community.
• Manages maintenance contracts, electrical systems, phone systems, fire panels, emergency response systems, and disaster preparedness.
• Makes recommendations to the Executive Director and evaluates equipment needs.
• Conducts inspections on apartments before occupancy and ensures proper trash management.
• Leads the Safety Committee and develops a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
• Ensures compliance with the Water Management Plan and Moisture Management Plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelors/Technical degree in related field.
• Four years maintenance supervision experience.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of machinery, tools, repair techniques, plumbing, and related repair.
• Experience with electrical systems, phone systems, fire panels, emergency response systems, and disaster preparedness.
• Experience with all types of appliances (refrigerator, washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwaves) preferred.
