Director of Maintenance

About the role
Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Maintenance to oversee the daily operations of our Maintenance Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the facility remains safe, compliant, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in building operations, preventative maintenance, life safety systems, and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Maintenance Department.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and support maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment.
- Oversee repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, warranties, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance leadership experience required.
- Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
- Familiarity with nursing home regulations, life safety codes, and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
- Availability to respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.

$100,000 per year

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
