Director of Lifecycle Marketing
About the Role
Sans is on a mission to build the next great consumer hardware brand, with a focus on products that promote healthier living at home. Starting with a leading air purifier and expanding to a top-tier water purifier, our product roadmap is just beginning. We’re a small, ambitious team that believes in creating a meaningful consumer brand. We move fast, learn quickly, and consistently outperform larger competitors.
Lifecycle Marketing is a core growth and profitability engine at Sans, responsible for converting, engaging, and retaining customers to drive long-term value. The Director of Lifecycle Marketing will own this as a business within the business, with accountability for retention, LTV, and lifecycle-driven revenue across email, SMS, subscriptions, and direct mail. - Define and Lead Lifecycle Strategy: Develop a cohesive strategy across onboarding, retention, and reactivation, aligned with company revenue and profitability goals.
- Own Customer Journey and Retention Systems: Optimize the end-to-end customer journey from first purchase to repeat customer to subscriber, improving metrics like time to second purchase and long-term retention.
- Own Subscription Growth and Economics: Drive subscription attach rate, retention, and LTV through on-site conversion, post-purchase upsell, and engagement.
- Own Lifecycle Revenue Levers: Partner with Growth and eCommerce to optimize pricing communication, discounts, bundles, upsell/cross-sell, and incentives.
- Own Flows, Campaigns, and Lifecycle Programs: Oversee lifecycle flows (welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, winback) and manage the lifecycle campaign calendar.
- Drive Experimentation and Optimization: Build a testing roadmap to improve conversion, AOV, revenue per send, and long-term customer value.
- Own Lifecycle Channels and Platforms: Manage platforms like Klaviyo, Attentive, and PostPilot, ensuring best practices in segmentation, deliverability, automation, and compliance.
- Lead Team and Cross-Functional Execution: Build and manage a high-performing lifecycle team, partnering with Growth, eCommerce, Product, CX, and Creative.
