Responsibilities Continuously identify prospective new tenants for our shopping centers and present leasing opportunities through cold calling and canvassingEstablish and maintain relationships with local and national retailers as well as real estate brokers; including involvement in relevant ICSC eventsDraft and negotiate proposals for new leases and lease renewalsPlay an active role in the preparation of annual leasing budgets for assigned propertiesActive involvement in developing and implementing Leasing/Marketing strategies for each assigned property to ensure budget projections are met or exceededBe an expert in the markets of assigned properties: prospective tenants growing in market, competing shopping centers, market rents and trendsDrive speed to execution: push deals from LOI to grand opening as soon as possible Soft Skills/Behaviors Effective communicator and presenterStrong sales, negotiation, closing skills Adept at developing and maintaining relationshipsAbility to multi-task and prioritize high volume of dealsSelf-starter operating mindset with a “make it happen” driveAbility to problem solve in difficult situationsEfficiently organize, plan, schedule, and execute tasksCollaborative, respectful, inclusive, positive attitudeStrong sense of urgency and desire to consistently outperformHigh degree of professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic Technical Skills 7-10 years of Leasing experience Extensive knowledge of retail leasing process, LOI and Lease terminologyAn excellent track record of successfully negotiating leases with national retailersA deep understanding of the entire retail leasing processProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel frequently, as required The expected base salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $140,000 (plus variable compensation including commission and bonus). The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
