Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Strong land negotiation and contract skills.
  • Computer and financial analysis proficiencies along with the ability to utilize Web based software to efficiently seek out Land opportunities in desirable locations.
  • Understands market and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; including motivating teams, employee development, and being results oriented.
  • Ability to connect with people, and develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Strong verbal & written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate accurately and persuasively.
  • Prioritizes meeting corporate deadlines by utilizing effective time management skills.
  • Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other's ideas, and a willingness to cooperate.
  • Makes quick and accurate decisions based heavily on facts, data and/or metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe applications with particular strength in Excel.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Minimum 7 years proven land experience in acquisition, contract negotiation and relationship building.
  • Prior management experience in Home building or related construction/real estate industry preferred.

  • Close vision.
  • Sit and use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
  • Stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel or crouch.

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Driving is required.
