Director of IT

About the role

You will lead local IT/IS operations, aligning site priorities with enterprise technology standards to drive efficiency, cybersecurity resilience, and business growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background on the information systems side of the organization, rather than a focus primarily on traditional IT infrastructure and technical support. In addition to solid IS experience, the role requires business acumen and practical business experience—understanding how technology and information systems support overall business operations and partnering effectively with leadership and various departments.

Responsibilities

• Strategic IT Leadership: Partner with business leaders to identify technology solutions, optimize workflows, and build high‑ROI business cases.
• Enterprise & Cybersecurity Alignment: Integrate corporate IT architecture and implement robust cybersecurity, access control, and incident response protocols.
• Project & Vendor Management: Oversee site IT projects, manage vendor relationships, set budgets, and mitigate operational risks.
• Team & Infrastructure Support: Lead IT support staff, serve as the technical escalation point, and manage local ERP platforms, databases, and systems.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in IT support/management with strong experience in enterprise systems, ERP platforms, and databases.
• Leadership: Proven experience leading an IT team.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong strategic thinking, project management, and cross‑functional communication abilities.

Location: Commutable to Van Wert, Ohio – on‑site role.
