About the role

Plans, organizes, orchestrates, directs and monitors the delivery of patient care for Invasive Cardiovascular Services. Satisfies requirements for regulatory and credentialing agencies. Addresses patient and medical staff needs and concerns. Manages processes to ensure patient’s rights and confidentiality. Interfaces the delivery of services with other areas of the hospital. Maintains liaison between hospital administration, medical staff, and contractual organizations. Administers and/or establishes hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Collects, generates, analyzes, and distributes statistical reports as required. Manages the Quality Monitoring and Performance Improvement activities of the Cardiac Cath Lab. Assists with development of long-range operational plans relative to services, programs, capital, and human resources. Develops annual departmental revenue, expense, and personnel budgets for the department. Clearly defines authority and responsibility for all Invasive CVS employees. Encourages the professional growth of direct reports. Evaluates and counsels employees relative to performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to departmental and hospital rules and regulations. Performs onboarding and training oversight of new employees in the Invasive CVS department. Performs any other duties as requested by Director of Cardiovascular services.

  • Evaluates and counsels employees relative to performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to departmental and hospital rules and regulations
  • Performs onboarding and training oversight of new employees in the Invasive CVS department
  • Performs any other duties as requested by Director of Cardiovascular services

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and/or accredited school of radiology, and/or accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology
  • Required Experience: 5+ years’ experience in invasive cardiovascular service, with 1-2 years’ management experience in related field

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications/License: SC Nurses License or AART, ACVT, or RCIS
