Director of Institutional Advancement, Alpha - $400,000/year USD
About the role
Shape the cultural fabric of the school community—the tone, rituals, and implicit standards that foster a sense of belonging—so Alpha becomes a place families are proud to represent, not merely a school they selected
Manage the parent relationship from start to finish—from initial inquiry through enrollment, ongoing retention, and lasting advocacy—so faculty remain concentrated on students and families always have a trusted point of contact
Detect early signals when something feels misaligned, and address it with the discretion and judgment that preserves trust—including the more difficult judgment of recognizing when a family is not a good match
Maintain visibility where families gather: morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, evening gatherings, and the spontaneous interactions that carry the most weight
Develop a community that both domestic and international families feel invested in protecting—and where referrals occur because the experience justifies them
Communicate Alpha's narrative persuasively—in individual conversations, at community events, and in the circles of discerning, globally oriented families where the school's standing is truly established
