About the Role
The Director of Technology is responsible for the strategy and execution of technology operations and infrastructure, data management, and ongoing support for organizational technology needs.

Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in emergencies or data loss.
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure across all locations.
- Analyze IT infrastructure and system performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics.
- Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information; facilitate IT security audits and investigations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and organization matters and refer questionable matters to the CFO.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Provide oversight of data management, including data governance & compliance, technical and data architecture, business intelligence, and data analytics.
- Lead, train, and develop IT staff for maximum effectiveness.
- Provide help‑desk support for troubleshooting workstations, networks, software applications, telephony, copiers, and other technologies for Foundation employees, responding in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Conduct inventory and track hardware for asset management.
- Assist with intranet and web‑based applications.
- Ensure completion of the Big 5 performance management tool for IT staff by required deadlines and use SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review.
- Work with Human Resources on staffing, training, and employee‑relations issues.
- Act as an internal resource to enhance awareness and understanding of best practices, risk management, and use of controls by management and staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned consistent with the exempt functions defined in this job description.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Expertise in IT operations and infrastructure, including Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Microsoft SQL, networks/workstations, Cisco Meraki firewalls, print servers, antivirus software, data management, and computer hardware.
- Experience with Windows Deployment and Windows Update Services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; professional, hands‑on, and customer‑focused attitude.
- Attention to detail and ability to uphold Cenikor’s Core Principles of service, respectful communication, self‑motivation, professional behavior, and teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- 5–7 years in technology roles with at least 3 years recent experience as a Technology Director.
- Physical requirements: ability to sit for extended periods, reach, use finger dexterity (e.g., keyboard), speak clearly, see and hear within normal parameters, move about, and travel as needed.
