Director of IDD Community Services

Description Community Options, Inc., is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are now hiring a Director of IDD Community Servicesto provide support in Phoenix, AZ.The Director of Employment Services develops appropriate employment opportunities geared towards all levels and needs for people with disabilities. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of the employment program both programmatically and fiscally. Working collaboratively with other programs, this person ensures the employment goals for the individuals supported are met. Responsibilities Manage employment programs and partner with stakeholders in compliance with state regulatory body Define contract requirements for vocational and employment activities with appropriate agenciesManage contract procurement and disbursements for community-based programsNetwork with business leaders to develop employment, volunteer, and internship opportunitiesProvide training on the methodology used to teach individuals the skills needed for employmentAssist with training individuals to perform on-the-job tasks and work routinesAssist with business development, fundraising, and grant development for employment programsEnsure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timelyEstablish internships for people with disabilities with potential employersEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigationAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeMinimum three years of experience in related fieldValid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving recordKnowledgeable in the areas of state regulatory bodies and regulations Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportsEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Why Community Options?
