Director of Human Resources
Position Summary
BrightPath is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead the HR function for our 245D-licensed behavioral health organization serving more than 200 employees. This is a senior leadership position responsible for developing a high-performing workforce while ensuring compliance with employment law, 245D regulations, and organizational standards within a behavioral health and disability services environment. You'll partner closely with leadership to create scalable HR systems that support continued growth, strengthen accountability, and develop leaders throughout the organization.
What You'll Lead
- Talent acquisition and recruitment for both high-volume direct care positions and specialized clinical roles
- HR operations, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
- Workforce planning aligned with staffing needs, licensing requirements, scheduling, and organizational growth
- 245D regulatory processes, including background studies (NETStudy), MVR clearances, documentation, and audit readiness
- Compensation administration, benefits, leave management, workers' compensation, unemployment and HR policies
- Performance management and corrective action processes that support both compliance and employee accountability
- Coaching and supporting leaders in performance management, employee development, and organizational effectiveness
- Partner with the executive leadership team to implement and sustain EOS People tools, including the Accountability Chart, People Analyzer, Quarterly Conversations, and organizational adherence to BrightPath's Core Values
Qualifications
- Significant experience in behavioral health, disability services, human services, or another regulated care environment
- Demonstrated HR leadership or substantial people leadership responsibilities within operations
- Working knowledge of 245D licensing requirements, DHS expectations, NETStudy, MVR processes, and HR documentation standards
- Experience leading employee relations, performance management, compliance initiatives, and organizational change
- Strong systems thinking with a history of improving recruiting, retention, compliance, or workforce processes
- Experience supporting a multi-site, 24/7 workforce with frontline staffing challenges

Position Details
- Executive Compensation: $85,000–$120,000 + Bonus
- Schedule: Hybrid (2–3 Days/Week In Office)
