Director of Housekeeping

About the role

The Hollywood Roosevelt is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead and oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of staffing, training, scheduling, inspections, inventory control, and budgeting
• Development and implementation of efficient housekeeping systems and procedures
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Addressing guest concerns promptly
• Maintaining accurate operational reporting
• Ensuring full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies
• Fostering a positive, accountable, and guest-focused work environment

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in housekeeping or hospitality operations
• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of housekeeping procedures, room management systems, and operational best practices
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Budget-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Sound judgement, accountability, and strong understanding of compliance with all regulations and local laws

Qualifications

• College degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in housekeeping or related field
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
• Knowledge of hotel operations and housekeeping standards
