About the role
The Director of Housekeeping will oversee the management and daily operations of the Housekeeping department. Key responsibilities include setting long-term vision and direction, conducting regular inspections, coordinating with other departments, ensuring equipment maintenance, meeting service and production standards, managing budgets, and supervising staff.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Five (5) plus years’ experience in housekeeping within a luxury hotel
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Opera preferred
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to supervise subordinate staff
- Basic computational ability
- Basic computer skills
- Budgetary analysis capabilities
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations
Physical Requirements
- Walking and giving direction most of the working day
- Standing and exerting well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length
- Moving between functions occurring simultaneously
- Lifting up to 15-40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment
Pay
The pay scale for the Director of Housekeeping is from $100,000.00 to $125,000.00. Please note that this is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like.
