Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow executive-level relationships within assigned health systems, IDNs, and purchasing organizations.
  • Partner with healthcare leaders to understand organizational priorities and align Cardinal Health solutions to support their goals.
  • Identify and advance strategic opportunities across medical products, distribution, and value-added services.
  • Create and execute strategic account plans that strengthen customer partnerships and support mutual success.
  • Lead complex sales engagements, contract discussions, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Facilitate executive business reviews and serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
  • Act as main point of contact for problem solving, issues and opportunities.
  • As the strategic quarterback for assigned health systems, align internal teams around customer priorities and enterprise opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Clinical, Operations, Contracting, Marketing, Product Management, and other business partners to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Drive execution through collaboration and influence, achieving results within a matrixed environment without direct authority.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Acute Care, Non-Acute Care, Specialty, and Field Sales teams to identify opportunities, remove obstacles, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation and partnership.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, helping shape solutions and strategies that improve operational efficiency, resiliency, and patient care.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales, strategic account management, or health system sales experience within healthcare, medical products, healthcare services, supply chain, or related industries.
  • Proven success managing complex customer relationships and enterprise-level sales opportunities.
  • Experience engaging senior healthcare leaders, including supply chain, procurement, finance, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve complex customer challenges, develop innovative solutions, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Leverages data, collaboration, and business acumen to overcome obstacles and deliver results in complex healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build alignment, and drive results across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across multiple commercial and operational functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with large health systems, IDNs, GPOs, and regional purchasing organizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare supply chain, distribution, healthcare services, or healthcare technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while balancing customer needs and internal priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.
  • Must reside within or near the assigned territory and have access to a major airport.
  • Ability to work effectively from a remote home office environment or in the field.
  • Customer/Vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations).
