DIRECTOR OF GRADUATE EDUCATION ENROLLMENT
About the Role
The Director of Education Enrollment provides supervisory oversight of all Admissions staff within their education unit and is accountable for delivering new and continuing student enrollment that meets or exceeds budgeted targets. This role collaborates with the Sr Vice President for Enrollment Management & Innovation and the Associate Vice President for Graduate Enrollment to develop a strategic plan for their business unit and executes the approved plan to achieve its goals and objectives. The Director maintains accurate enrollment data for forecasting, tracks activity, and reports to internal and external stakeholders regularly. They also collaborate with the Quality Assurance unit on continuing professional development plans for their direct reports. This position requires a majority on-campus presence with the ability to work remotely one day per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and supervise assigned admissions and advising teams.
- Understand enrollment sales funnels and interpret funnel data to drive actionable insights and strategies.
- Demonstrate expertise in a consultative sales approach, aligning sales and coaching strategies with Edgewood’s Graduate Enrollment best practices.
- Develop exceptional program knowledge and serve as the primary expert for assigned programs.
- Supervise a team to execute strategies for converting prospective students into enrollments at each stage of the funnel.
- Identify barriers to an exceptional student experience and develop solutions in collaboration with team members and leadership.
- Provide routine feedback to team members through weekly coaching, three "Start Scorecard" evaluations per year, and an annual performance review.
- Maintain student data integrity and reporting accuracy for the assigned business unit.
- Serve as the point of escalation for at-risk students identified by admissions and advising staff.

- Manage the execution of the strategic plan for partnership development and report progress to stakeholders quarterly.
- Provide data-driven feedback to the Marketing team and collaborate with faculty and student support offices for a seamless student experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish an annual strategic plan, including enrollment targets, outreach plans, needs analysis, and team development.
- Provide input for budgeting from enrollment, expense, and staffing perspectives.
- Propose opportunities to maximize enrollment, including potential new program development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Progressively responsible experience that includes leadership.
- Background in consultative sales.
- At least one year of experience in higher education strongly preferred.
Skills
- Experience performing in and training others in a consultative sales approach, preferably within higher education.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and meet rapidly changing deadlines.
- Effective leadership of staff and students.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to learn Slate and other internal data management tools.
- Multicultural competence – the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work with culturally diverse individuals.
