About the role
Gradient Financial Group is seeking a Director of Gradient Annuity Brokerage to lead their annuity sales organization. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of annuity experience, 5+ years of sales experience, and 5+ years of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute the long-term vision and strategic direction for Gradient Annuity Brokerage.
- Partner with sales leaders and marketers to create impactful training programs, webinars, and educational resources that strengthen product knowledge, sales effectiveness, and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carrier partners, serving as a key liaison and advocate to foster collaboration and support business objectives.
- Lead, inspire, and motivate the sales team by cultivating a high-performance culture centered on accountability, engagement, and positive energy.
- Oversee the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation strategies, pipeline management, forecasting, and deal-closing execution.
- Continuously evaluate market conditions, industry trends, and sales performance metrics to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and administrative leadership to strengthen communication, improve operational alignment, and enhance the overall producer experience.
- Play a critical role in agent recruitment, retention, engagement, and long-term relationship management.
- Resolve escalated producer and carrier issues while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of the full sales process, including prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management, forecasting, negotiation, and closing strategies. They should also demonstrate exceptional coaching and mentoring skills with a passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

- 10+ years of annuity experience – Preferred
- 5+ years of sales experience – Required
- 5+ years of leadership experience – Required
