About the role
Our client is a global electronics manufacturer with plants across North America, Europe, and Asia, serving aerospace and defense, medical device, and data center customers. This role exists to unify their MES architecture across all sites, replacing local customization with a scalable, repeatable global standard. You will own the global MES strategy, standard architecture, governance frameworks, SOPs, and deployment templates for every North American and European site—ensuring adoption and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Direct full-lifecycle MES implementations across a diverse factory footprint on two continents.
- Drive convergence of MES with ERP/SAP, PLM, and automation layers (SCADA, PLC).
- Own the manufacturing data architecture supporting advanced analytics, predictive maintenance, and quality tracking.
- Negotiate enterprise contracts and SLAs with cloud providers, software vendors, and systems integrators.
- Ensure all platforms comply with CGP, ITAR, FDA/ISO 13485, and NIST requirements.
- Lead a geographically dispersed team of MES engineers, project managers, and business analysts across time zones.
- Align plant managers and executive stakeholders on the value and adoption of the global standard.
- Maintain governance to prevent local customization and enforce repeatable, scalable builds.
Requirements
- 15+ years in digital factory environments, with 7+ years leading multi-site, multi-country MES deployments.
- Operating experience in both North American and European manufacturing environments.
- Proven ownership of multi-million CapEx projects.
- Willingness to travel 25-35% domestically and internationally.
